The Winchester Gun Club is pleased to announce the formation of the 2023 Summer Trap League to be held at the Winchester Gun Club at 22 Gun Club Rd. in Stephenson Va.  Any questions, please contact Bruce Clevenger @ 1-540-247-2000.

The League will consist of five-member teams competing for high point scores over a sixteen week schedule.  Weekly events will be held on Tuesday beginning at 5:45 pm.  The scheduled dates are:

Each shooter will shoot a total of 50 rounds for score each week, consisting of 25 targets from the 16 yard line and 25 targets from the team’s determined handicap yardage.

Scoring will be a possible 3 ½ points each week per team, for a possible total League team score of 56 points.

Any ties will be carried over to the following week. If there are any ties the last week of the league, they will be shot off on the night that is designated for shoot offs.

Gift Cards will be awarded to each team member (5) for 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd places for total points.  Four additional Gift Cards will be awarded for individuals with the best 16’s, handicap, overall score & most improved shooter.  Only 1 Gift Card per individual.  To be eligible, you must shoot a minimum of 12 weeks. Six weeks in the first eight week period and six weeks of the second eight week period.  The best 12 weeks out of the 16 will be used to determine individual trophies for the best 16’s, handicap, overall score and most improved shooter.

League fees (shooters 18 and over) will be $12.00 per team member per week. This fee can be paid weekly to the cashier, or if you so choose, you can pay a onetime fee of $192.00 in advance to the cashier for your shooting. There will also be a one-time trophy and banquet fee of $12.00 per team member and also a one-time banquet fee of $8.00 per substitute.

Junior’s fees will be $8.00 per team member for each week. This fee can be paid weekly to the cashier, or if you so choose, you can pay a onetime fee of $128.00 in advance to the cashier.

Trophies are donated for the Juniors, however there is a one-time banquet fee of $8.00 per Junior.
